Educated Brain: The logic and reasoning mind.

Innate Body: The living body that responds to Innate Intelligence.

Educated Body: The body influenced and effected by the Educated Brain.

Benefits

Core stability, strengthens muscle tone, improves balance, and posture.

The wobble disk is a great way to support the low back and I recommend it to all my practice members. The movement generated with the wobble disk helps strengthen the muscles around the spine, add flexibility to the low back and hips, and improves blood flow, hydration and oxygenation through your spinal discs.  It engages your core muscles while sitting, reducing slouching, improving posture and allowing you to sit up straight.

Research by Professor Hazard in 2000 found that passive motion/movement of the lower back reduced stiffness and pain in the lower back and increased alertness.

The wobble disk is good to use for 3-5 minutes to warm up the spine with motion before chiropractic adjustments and overall helps promote proper spinal movement and flexibility. It helps to place on your chair if you’re working from home to reduce tension on the low back. It’s low cost and effective way to improve spinal motion daily.

The Founder

In 1895 DD Palmer founded Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa with the first chiropractic adjustment to a deaf janitor named Harvey Lillard.  A few days later Harvey regained his hearing.  DD Palmer opened the Palmer school of Chiropractic two years later.

“Life is but the expression of spirit through matter. To make life manifest requires the union of spirit and body.” – DD Palmer

Dr. Zach Gower

Chiropractor

Palmer was a brilliant anatomist and magnetic healer, dedicating his life to understanding the human body. His vision was to create a natural healing profession based on vitalism, holism, and the spirit within.  He believed the power that made your body is what heals your body; promoting health and healing from within.

Chiropractic is based on an inside-out philosophy, not an outside-in approach as in medicine.  We all created with an inborn intelligence or life force; in chiropractic we call this innate intelligence.  Our Innate intelligence directs our life force through the nervous system, the master control system of the body.  Every muscle, gland, blood vessel, organ and system works by the communication and connection to the nervous system.

The spine protects and facilitates the messages between the brain and nerves to the body.  Spinal misalignments affect the nerve system communication pathways, called “subluxation.”  Subluxations cause nerve disturbance (dis-ease) between the brain and body.  Dis-ease sometimes causes symptoms and sometimes not.  Regardless of the presentation of symptoms, subluxation affects the structure and function of all body processes, which leads to reduced quality of life, disease and early death.

This is the main reason why we recommend everyone be checked for subluxations by a principled chiropractor.  You are healthier without subluxations and nerve interference.  Your body is better able to adapt to stress, function optimally and heal.  Chiropractic is a natural approach to restoring health, focussed on finding and correcting the cause of subluxation, restoring your connection to the power of life.
